Hi, I translated restoration as reestablishment, is that correct? Mormons speak of their entire movement as the restoration.

Generally speaking,
'restoration' has more of the idea of 'put back in its rightful place or state'.

I have no idea what the Mormons mean when they use this word.

My thought was that a "church" in the broader sense was being reestablished (restored) after having been degraded or discontinued.
I suspect the historical facts are subject to interpretation. I don't find your characterization incorrect.
