Responsible of /for

Hi,

I have a question regarding the use of the word responsible.

A coworker is taking an english course where he told me that they always use responsible for

Well, it's been a while since my last english lessons and maybe i forgot this, cause i thought that you could / should use "responsible of".

is there a rule for the use of "for" and "of"?

thanks and regards,

Hi all,

please, I don't find out the difference between both expressions: "to be responsible for" and "to be responsible of". Are them the same? Could please s.o. explain it?

Thanks very much in advance,
Ramon.
