What about "responds?"

Are they interchangable? "Send a response" vs "send a responds"

I've seen it used on the web and in some documentation. Also spell checks let it slide. Though I'm guessing that's because it can be used like this: "He responds quickly."

(Typing this out, I'm pretty sure I just answered my own question. Oh well, I'm sure I'm not the only one who tho
