Respond/Reponse and Excellent/Excellence

Hi, I'm kind of having trouble regarding when to use the ending "ce" "se" and I was wondering if anyone can elaborate these for me. Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry for not making it explicit. What I want to know is that when do I use "ce" and "se" ? Thanks

I assume you mean 'se' or 'ce' after an 'n'.

If you are talking about American English, there are only about 20 words that have "nse" (See below.). The rest (and there are hundreds) are all "nce". But always consult a dictionary because there is no way to predict which spelling is correct.

response, rinse, license,
dense, co

I apologize for the late response and I still haven't believed that I have made myself clear.

What I want to know is that when I should use the word "respond" or "response"? In what kind of sentence. I hope I have made myself clear after this post.
