Responding to a job rejection

Dear teachers, I want to write a thank you note for the position I got refused. Also I don't speak directly with the employer but with a recruitment agency. This is the email I have got:

Dear Ms.,

Thank you very much for your interest in the advertised .. position and for the CV of yours that you have sent us. Unfortunately, we have to tell you, even though your professional profile is certainly very appealing, that we have decided to give priority to people whose profile is better matching requirements of our client. At the moment we do not even have another position suitable for you.
Please follow up our advertising (..) and do not hesitate to contact us in case you see another interesting job offer.

I want to write something like this:

Dear Ms.

(I like to thank you) or just Thank you for your prompt response and for getting back to me. While it hurts to hear that or ( While I am sorry to hear that), I am aware that the competition for the offered position is high. In case some other job positions in the future grasp my attention I will most certainly contact you.
