Grammar

respectively?

"The Company has registered six trading companies respectively in Japan, Korea, UK, France, Spain and Portugal."

In the above sentence, does the Company has 6 registered trading companies in each country or 1 trading company in each country?
Thank you in advance.

I would assume it to mean one company in each country, if only because six trading companies in each of those countries seems pretty unlikely. However, I don't think it's a very good sentence.
