Resounding words

I'm not really sure about the title of this kind of words, as I 'm seeking for the right definition and examples. Can anyone help me plz, becuz I have just a few days to look for it as assignment. However, my teacher has given me some examples:

Ex: CHICKEN _ KITCHEN

This is a pair of resounding words, as when you pronounce these two words, you'll find out that the order of the pronunciations in each words have been exchanged.

I hope the explanation is clear enough, cuz I don't really know how to explain it . If you can't help, it's gonna be great!

Welcome to English Forums!

I've never heard the term "resounding words"! But there are many words which are confusing because of similar sounds or spellings. Maybe some of these qualify. I don't know.

causal - casual
marital - martial
conversation - conservation
ketchup - check-up

I think I've got another example for this:

LADY('leidi') - DAILY ('deili')

this is what I actually meant. The vowel 'ei' first comes with "l" in lady, secondly comes with "d" in daily, and vice versa.

IF I could find out any other examples, I will post it.

This is a little different because it involves pairs of words in phrases -- but I saw this in someone's signature line and liked it:

Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things!
