Resistance To or Against?

I'm making an informative form for my job about the sealing granite. I need help with the last sentence in the following paragraph:

Sealing: Not all granite needs to be sealed. Most granite slabs receive a resin treatment at the factory where blocks of granite are cut into slabs and polished. This does not mean the granite is stain-proof and sealing the counter tops will just add more resistance to staining.

Would it be resistance to, resistance against or something else?

Top answer

granite732 Would it be resistance to, resistance against or something else? 'To' is fine. I suggest a couple of other small changes: Sealing: Not all granite needs to be sealed.
