Resent

Hello.

I figure the word "resent" is strong anger only towards people or people's behavior. Am I right?

Like, "I resent his behavior, remarks...

Hi, In general, that's true. You can say that you resent a thing, eg 'I resent the new regulation', but really you are expressing some indignation towards the people who made the regulation. Best wishes, Clive
