Research Volunteer Applicant
Hello, I'm trying to volunteer in a research and I'm sending this email to the doctor running that research. Would you please help me in editing it. Also, any other idea regarding the email as a whole would be appreciated. Thank you
Dear Dr....., I am a medical graduate from ..... University and I’m interested in volunteering at your lab. After having come across your paper title(...........), has extremely aroused my interest in working with you and studying cell junctions. Being part of your Lab would be ideal as I am naturally suited within this field, with my core interest being in Cellular Biology. I am therefore hoping you can take serious consideration in this request to be a part of your Lab.
Having dedicated the past years of my life to medicine with an ambition to progress to great heights, has enabled me to embed and perfect many skills and qualities which would certainly assist me to becoming a valued asset for your Lab. A few examples would be the ability of working under pressure maintaining accuracy and detail, dedication and commitment to achieve the best result to the end, a willingness and a want to learn with the ability to adapt swiftly to any implementations or changes, working effectively as part of a team and the confidence and ability of working individually, most of all the desire for success and venture which will not only obtain a self satisfaction but benefit your laboratory on an ongoing basis.These examples are not just listed to promote myself to you, but these examples are what I’ve gained through my hard work in obtaining an honors degree at the level of excellence.
This being only the beginning of my life's journey in Medical Sciences I will be the first to say I have yet such a vast amount of knowledge and experience to grasp. Therefore it would be a real honor to be part of your team, in learning from you, sharing anything I may have to offer with you and working with you to success. No doubt this would also equip me with a wealth of knowledge and experience so I may in the future progress my goal further in joining Cellular biology PhD program.

I tried to make it shorter as I think the doctor won't be interested to read all that long email.So now it's only like that :
