They aren’t getting married with family members observing, they aren’t even getting married in their home state of Georgia. Instead they are here in New Jersey signing their civil union papers, in hopes that they can at least feel somewhat like a married couple. Allowing homosexual couples to be wed is wrong due to the fact that it goes against many religion practices as well as disgraces them it also makes them targets to homophobic. 02br

00 We all can’t agree on the fact that we are ok with people being homosexuals. Homosexuals are constantly being attacked by people who don’t agree with their sexuality. “An organization of Catholic gays and lesbians, in the past year 25 gays and lesbians were murdered in the United States because of their sexual orientation” (Sherrod). Then just a year later a 17-year-old Cleburne student was attacked and beaten because fellow classmates believed he was gay.Many homosexuals can say that they are feared and by being feared they become a target to those willing to make their life horrible. As John Ritter has found out that more than two-thirds of students a college campus have being verbally, physically or sexually harassed because of their sexual orientation. But that’s not the big problem it is that they get harassed on a daily basis. As a graph taken by the school shows that out of 496 gay teens 61% were verbal harassment, 47% were sexual harassment (inappropriate comments, touching), 28% were physical harassment (being shoved, pushed, etc.) and 14% were physical assault (being beaten, punched, kicked, etc.). 02br

00 Homosexuals are being discriminated around the world. In some parts of the country, gay couples are not even allowed to adopt a baby. “We have encountered a dilemma we cannot resolve....The issue is adoption to same-sex couples” (Gallagher 20). People from Boston’s Catholic Charities believe that homosexuals should not be allowed to adopt children. The people from this company believe that children who live with homosexual parents will not be accepted in our society nor be well sheltered. 02br

00 In Africa gays and lesbians are looked down upon and every one agrees that they should not coensist in their society. A story of a boy who grew up with a controversial attitude compared to other boys. This child was soon later found out to be a homosexual and everyone in the family was horrified including friends. The child remembers his family saying "A man should be a man and marry and have kids," (Goering). As many other stories rom in Africa about homosexuals we find stubborn people who won’t accept gays and lesbians and in most case when a person is found or accused of been a homosexual he/she is stoned and/or killed. 02br

00 As the social standards of homosexual decreases, homosexual have a hard time trying to find a job and acceptance in their community. Many homosexuals want to become priest but are denied due to the fact that they are homosexuals and do not make the sexuality standards of the church. “Three separate attempts to loosen the standards on gays have failed in the past decade” (Eckstrom 14). This shows that homosexuals are not close to being accepted in our communities and may never be. 02br

00 All religions differ but they all have something in common, and that is the no tolerance for homosexuals. But some Catholics and orthodox Jews believe that being a homosexual is ok as long as the practice of being a homosexual doesn’t take place. 02br
00As many churches teach people how to live in harmony with god being a homosexual was never part of the lesson. “We in the church say we believe that the almighty and loving God accepts all of us when we are baptized and adopted as God's children. Our task, then, is to grow into a place where hospitality and welcome are extended to all the baptized” (Staller 7). 02br
00Many homosexuals are constantly been accused of raping and malesting children. This is one of the main causes for homosexual been denied to adopt a child. “The involvement of male social workers with children and families has been overshadowed by what has been constructed as their "potential" to abuse” (Gillingham 85). 02br

00 Homosexuals are constantly been discriminated around the world, and this leads to attacks on homosexuals by those who believe that their ways are wrong and by this homosexuals are denied their rights to adopt a child. People who see homosexuals as countercultural who are also stubborn closed minded people who won’t accept homosexuals by having people like this it reduces their social standards. Christians see homosexuality as a sin and believe that its goes against their teachings of the church as God never intended for man to like the same sex. People become ethics and believe that homosexuals can’t have a child under their protection and believe that they are going to live in an unstable environment. 0-
