In this assignment, you will discuss how change occurred Asa result of evens around the turn of the century regarding immigration, industrialization, or urbanization. You will give examples of change that occurred both in actual history and in The Jungle. Obviously you need to narrow your topic to a more specific thesis regarding one of those broad topics. For example, if you take the topic of industrialization, you may narrow the topic to focus on the stress of working in a factory at the time which led to efforts to unionize workers and limit working hours for children. It is important to focus on change, not just the status quo. You must use evidence from the The Jungle (your primary sources) and at least four other sources.

I am going to write the paper about urban poverty but I have no idea what to do from there. Maybe about how it led to rise of socialism and in return sparked progressivism as a less radical approach. I really need help organizing the paper and I also don't even know whether I was right about that. I also need help finding info but I don't even know what to look for. Thanks in advance.
