The term Research is used in American English both in single and plural forms. Is it correct?
Then how I must to say about a few research(es):
(the) research demonstrate or (the) research demonstrates

However, there are contexts in which this word is used in the plural: researches.

Therefore, I would say:

The research demonstrates...

But:

The researches demonstrate...

is used, though. A few means a small number. Plural nouns take a few.
