Dear Dr.Berthold,
This is Behzad Fadaei. I have been accepted for PASS this year, and my class will begin in April 2010.
Throughout ten years of involvement in the field of dentistry, I have always been interested in doing research because I have a very strong desire to enhance my abilities and knowledge in different fields of dental science. Also, I am very interested in postgraduate program and I wish to acquire as much research experience as possible before I apply for a specialty program .I have worked in one lab (in my country) as an assistant so far and it was a unique experience. My lab position was through a Department of Oral Diagnosis in Shahid Beheshti University. At the lab I assisted a project on studying the "Influence of rotary dental instruments on dentin "Awarded as a selected thesis".
There is no doubt that the University of california, has one of the best research centers in the US; I visited the USC website and I also talked with one of the senior PASS students, "Yashar eslamie". He also recommended me that I contact you regarding doing research in the University of Southern California.
I would appreciate if you give me an opportunity to participate in research activities. I am able to conduct research through the semesters and also in vacation times. I firmly believe if I am accepted for doing research I will put my maximum efforts into striving for excellence
I would appreciate if you help me regarding this matter.
