The significant achievements as GSR in forming the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar New Horizon admitted to RI on 29.06.2007 gave opportunity to make the community aware the multifarious activities in the shape of service for the benefit of mankind at several meetings organized during the preparatory period of formation of the club. In presenting Rotary Paper that was published in the Souvenir for District Assembly 2005-06 on ‘Public Image’ as also in the souvenir for the District Foundation Seminar 2006 on ‘Public Relation’ and the benefits out of a trip to Europe & RI Convention 2006. These described the highlights of each subject and indicated the benefits out of interaction that one derives through participation and involvement in Rotary activities. Through the process of survey conducted to determine the needs of the community to meet the objectives of 3-H Grant 99-11, MG Projects 15768, 16019 & 21165 the interaction with approximately 6000 or more of the community around Bhubaneswar including medical officers provided the opportunity to understand the community needs and their problems. Over 50 formal sessions were conducted with the representatives of the community for awareness in Health, Hygiene & Sanitation for a better quality of life.
