request to use a copyright image

Hello! Can you please help me with a sentence asking for a permission to reprint the copyright image in a magazine?

We'll be featuring the awards ceremony event in the next edition of our newsletter. Hence I just wanted to double check whether it's fine to use the cartoon image as an illustration for the article? If would be also great if you could supply me with an image to appear along with the article.

Does this sound right?

Thanks!
