REQUEST LETTER (TASK 1 - IELTS GENERAL)

Thank you for reading and correcting this writing letter. May your day be blessed with happiness and peace of mind!

Topic: You paid a refundable deposit when you rented an apartment. You left the apartment in good condition but the landlord won't return your deposit.

Write a letter to the landlord. In your letter

  • explain why you are writing
  • ask for the return of your deposit
  • inform the landlord of possible legal action

You should write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write and addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear ...,

----------

Dear Sir or Madam,

I rented your apartment. When I left the apartment in good condition, the apartment was very great for work and living.

I came back my hometown on November 10th, 2020. What troubled me was the time of the flight. As you know, according to the flight schedule, the plane took off at 10:00 am, but there was a notification that the flight had to delay for two hours. I went home at 10:00 pm, it was later than my plan. While I was recalling of your apartment, suddenly, I remembered I paid a refundable deposit when I rented your apartment, but you had not returned my deposit.

Preferably, you should consider to pay back my deposit in the next week. I suggest that you send me as soon as possible. I think I could rent your apartment in next trip.

Thank you for your attention.

Yours faithfully,

To Luc
