Hi,
I'm supposed to write a request letter for a graduate school, but I'm sure if it gets to the point. I was wondering if anyone could please proofread it to see if it makes sense. Here is what I wrote so far:

Dear Mrs. ManceraI am interested in applying for your master’s degree program in public health. I learned of your degree plan from my academic advisor. Currently I’m working to obtain a Bachelor of Science in biology and after obtaining degree I plan to pursue a degree in public health with concentration in infectious diseases. My background and coursework have supplied me with many skills and general understanding in the field of public health. I have experience in working in this field through volunteering at the El Paso Humane Society where I learned about animal population control and how it affects the El Paso community. At this time, I’m also a work-study at the Department of Veterans Affairs where I helping to sequester environmental information and aid employees in ensuring the general safety of all patients at the clinic.I’m interested in applying to your degree program, but I have a few questions in reference to the program. Does your program offer a concentration in infectious diseases to a health clinic setting? If so, what is the minimum amount of experience that I need to apply for admittance into the program? Also does your program offer early admittance before obtaining a bachelor’s degree?I would like to schedule an appointment with you to discuss your school’s program and what I can offer to it. If you would like to contact me before then, please call me at
or email me atEmail Removed. Thank you for considering my request, and I look forward to talking with you.Sincerely,[Name]Is this alright?
Thank You
