Request for Salary Increment

Hi,

I am trying to send a letter for request for salary increment to my boss but I am not confident to put the words I want to tell her to consider my request. Anyhow, please find below my letter:

Dear ____,

It is with great pleasure and honor working with you for almost (3) years from the 09th December 2006. During these years, I have tried my best to excel in my performance despite the stressful environment of our team. Furthermore, I was hired as single status, I must have to work extra hours just to meet both ends especially for house rent that was vastly increased and since I have my family here.

In this regard, may I humbly as you to consider these reasons to give a salary increase as I think I deserve to receive from the Company.

Your positive response to this humble request is highly appreciated.

Await your comments...

Thanks and regards

Percy

However, I was hired as a single person , and I now have to work extra hours to cover my increased rent and other family expenses. For these reasons, I would like to request a salary increase , which I think I merit.
