Request for overtime
Guru,
I am trying to write an email to my line manager. We already discussed about the issues. I would be grateful if you could look the email below and correct wherever appropriate. Thanks a lot as always.

Dear Boss
We spoke.
As you know I worked at the project on Sunday 3 Aug 08 for fixing their computer problem and on 10 Aug 08 for taking quarterly full system backup. Mr David suggested me to take overtime. He signed of my overtime form before he left the post.
Now I was told by accounts that I am not eligible for overtime as per their policy. I was given the overtime last year at there for working one weekend with helpdesk for new software rollout.
My salary and other benefits are fall under the head office (this office). This means I am eligible for the overtime.
Following are summary of the work I did on 3 and 10 Aug 08 –
3 Aug 08 – 13:50 to 23:30 = 9:40 hours
10 Aug 08 – 11:20 to 19:15 = 7:55 hours
Total 17:35 hours worked. I would be grateful if you could arrange to provide the overtime for me. Thanks a lot.
