The hotel requests that guests leave their keys at the front desk when checking out.

I wonder if that guests must be changed to those guests or the guests. Please advise.

OK. I see. "that" is a conjunction here. I thought it was but the textbook misled me. The book says that the verb after the causative verb must be in simple verb form, which is true. However, in this case the word request is followed by a noun clause, not just simply a causative verb + someone + simple verb p
