Reprisal attack plus

The settlers use every pretext to launch attacks on the Mu people. If there is no pretext they invent one. A number of times in the past bodies of settlers died of illness or from any other natural causes were secretly kept in or near Mu neighborhoods and innocent Mus were falsely accused of their deaths. In pre-accord era, a communal attack was narrowly averted when settlers secretly put a body of a settler, who died of an illness, near the house of late Mr. XXX, an ex member of parliament, at LL in P town. In 2005, the settlers killed a B woman, kept her dead body near a Mu village and then fanned communal tension accusing that the Mus were responsible for her death. In a similar incident in D last year, the decomposed body of a settler was found floating on the waters of the S lake. The settlers as usual blamed the Mus for his death and gathered at D bazaar to launch a reprisal attack on Mu inhabited areas. Later on, the police unraveled the mystery of his death and arrested the culprit, averting an imminent attack. There are many such instances in which the settlers tried to shift the blame for the killing of their fellow settlers on innocent Mu people in order to carry out communal attacks on them.
