Does the following sentence mean that an investment in the fund or financial product is not used by xxx bank to pay deposits or other liabilities to its customers or creditors?

An investment in any xxx fund or financial product does not represent deposits or other liabilities of xxx bank.

It makes sense. So maybe the investments offered are not recorded as deposits or other liabilities in the bank's financial statement.
