SINCE NOBODY HAS PAID ATTENTION TO ONE OF MY PREVIOUS QUESTIONS, I AM REPOSTINT IT HERE.

I'd actually spent quite a bit of time on this and had come up with nothing. I tried "pickle into history" on Google, and found that Clinton's remarks had been reported on several dozen websites. None of them offered any explanation of what it meant, and several reported similar bafflement.

believe it or not, some of the poeple who come to these boards actually spend time looking for answers to the questions others ask. Sometimes, unfortunately, such answers are not found. So, please, don't be angry. People are paying attention.
