Which of these sentences is the correct one?
1) Ron suggested that Carol not exercise so much.
2) Ron suggested that Carol don't exercise so much.

Ron: "Carol, you shouldn't exercise so much",
is it also correct to report like this:
"Ron suggested that Carol shouldn't exercise so much"?
Is it better than the other options I gave?
