Reported Speech: The time

Hello.

If someone asked the question "what is the time?"

and I reported it as:

He asked me what the time was.

Would part of the sentence would 'the time' be?

For example:

He asked him what he
She asked Peter who he
She asked me where I
The man asked me what the time

SUBJECT + asked + name or object pronoun + wh- question + ?????????

What would 'he', 'he', 'I' and 'the time be' be classified as?

Hmm. He subject asked verb me direct object what interrogative the article as an adjective time noun was verb as if this is a quote ... I think.
