Reported speech - message

I am trying to take notes of this telephone message. Can you check for grammar errors? thank you.

I received a message from someone called Gordon today. He said he had left a message for my boss and he had not received a response from him. I was not able to figure out his last name and the name of the company he said he was from. It sounded like "Swanson". He spoke fast. He then said he needed help to get things going and requested my boss to contact him as soon as he could.
