Reported speech ... again

Hi again ... could you please help me with the following sentence:

1.1) It is the responsibility of each individual to familiarise with the internal work instructions, ensuring their compliance.

Or should I say 1.2) Each individual is responible for familiarising with the internal work instructions to ensure their compliance.

Or do you have other suggetion?

I would appreciate if you could help me.
Thanks,
Ritinha

I don't quite understand what you mean by "internal work instructions". "familiarise" requires a reflexive pronoun. These observations in mind, I would say you would be better with the first one if you intend to make this part of an official document.

  • " has an 'official' tone.
  • Use the second if you intend this to be more informal - part of recommendations to a small group of people you know, perhaps.

Thanks CJ,

I´ve used "internal work instructions" to refer instructions that belong to the company but, I can say "work instructions" to avoid confusion.

Thanks again,
