1- I told Mr Farag that we ....... any more people today.
hadn't interviewed - couldn't interview - aren't interviewing - weren't interviewing
I want to ask why was the sentence written like that? Shouldn't it be 'I told Mr Farag that we weren't interviewing any more people that day? Is it true not to change 'today' into 'that day'
2- Adam promised that he ...... me as soon as the plane lands.
will phone - would phone - phoned - phones
Why it isn't as soon as the plane landed? What I know is that we change present simple to past simple.
3_ Mona promised that she ...... home tomorrow.will be - will have been - would be
what's the answer of this question? Will be or would be?
4- She said that China ...... a densely populated country.
would be - will be - had been - is
I think will be and is are both correct.
Thanks in advance.
