reported speech

Change into reported speech :
1- The mother said, " Don't drop the glass"
2- She said, " I am a student-nurse"
My answers are:
1- The mother told her children not to drop the glass.
( I added "her children" so that the sentence can make sense)
2- She said that she was a student-nurse.
3- ( I feel that the answer can be: She said that she is a student-nurse. )

1 can be "The mother said not to drop the glass" as well.

3 - Usually we shift back from "I am" to "she was" but if you know she still is, or if she said this very recently, then you can keep "she is."
