Reported Speech

Hello, I'd like to ask you whether my sentences are correct :> "Check what your son watches on TV." (advise) My friend advised me to check what my son watched on TV. "You should be careful while crossing the street because it's dangerous" (explain) The policeman explained us that we should be careful while crossing the street because it was dangerous. "Do be quiet or I will hit you" David said to me. David commanded me to be quiet or he will hit me.

If something is wrong with them, please give me a few pieces of advice (how to correct them) or send me a link to a right website where I will find some useful info.

Thank you for your instant reply.
It seems that using reported speech I always have to change the second part of a sentence even if it follows a verb in full infinitive ( if the original statement was about something that is still true I don't need to change it). Am I right ?

"You should ask your son what he wants to get"
He advised me to ask my son what he wanted to get

I don't know—that didn't happen in your correct example ('to get' is the full infinitive in it).
