Yesterday, I received a call from John, who is one of our company's clients. He said his wife was involved in an accident therefore he was unable to return my calls. He sounded anxious on the telephone. He said he has been busy bringing his wife to see her doctors since the accident. I enquired if he was available to attend our company Christmas function next week. He said he was not available and he wanted me to send his apologies to my employer. He said he would call my supervisor one of these days.
