I really don't understand what you are trying to say with the word "retain" in you first sentence. And do you mean "ideas" with the word "pitches"? Possibly this instead:

Actually, I'm asking for two things here; New prospects which are the deals they have just encountered during the week, and from those new prospects, they will do some pitchings for getting retained. These deals may take longer than a week.
