Report on school attendance

I wonder if I can follow this outline for the report:

Paragraph 1: paraphrase the title.

Paragraph 2: overview.

Paragraph 3: report on the figures in 2000.

Paragraph 4: report on the trend of 4 school types and the figures in 2009.

AFAIK, this is allowed in line graphs' reports, but I don't know if the same thing can be done in tables' reports.

Here is my essay, if that somehow helps:

The table illustrates the proportions of pupils in four secondary school types in three years, 2000, 2005 and 2009.

Overall, it can be seen that the percentage of pupils studying in community schools increased over time, while the figures for other types of secondary schools decreased.

In 2000, the school types with lowest percentages of pupils attending were specialist schools and community schools, both at 12%. The figure for grammar schools was twice as much, at 24%. The largest proportion of 52% was that of voluntary-controlled schools. This figure was higher than the figures of the other three school types added together.

From 2000 to 2009, the figure for community schools experienced a five-fold increase to 58%, while the figures for the other school types decreased. The percentage of pupils attending specialist schools slightly decreased by 2%. The figures for grammar and voluntary-controlled schools reduced by a half, to 12% for grammar schools and 20% for voluntary-controlled schools.

(158 words).

Thank you very much.
