Report correction
This is the first report I have ever written and to be honest I need help. Would you mind correcting it?
Students website
Introduction
The principal purpose of this report is to provide present results of the students website, which was started last year to inform students about local events, publicise college clubs and review products useful for students. The final section makes recommendations as to how the website could be improved.
Current situation
We conducted interviews with a random selection of studentsat our College. 74% claimed that they visit the website regularly. Among this students most cited the local events part of the website. Smaller numbers found the college club site very useful. The review of products site wasn’t popular at all.
Factors preventing the use of our website were the lack of time and a bad internet connection. The students enjoy the information about the local events because they appreciate knowing what is going on in their area and like that they can organise better their free time. There weren’t much users on the college clubs site, that’s because people get the information about the college clubs at the beginning of each year. The most unpopular part was the one about product reviews, they claimed that thre was a lack of products.
Recommendations
As the interviews show, there is a major use of the website. Therefore our goals for this year were reached. Clearly more could be done to attract people to our student website, but for this we would need financial support.
I would make the following recommendations:
- The college club could upload their programmes to our website, like this the students are informed about the activities of their club.
- Lend products from other students to make more reviews or buying new products the budget you give us.
- Adding a new part for students to upload articles, poems, jokes... Maybe something like an online newspaper.
