A lady that I do not know has e-mailed me regarding a mix-up with our post. She addressed me as Dear... and then went on...
My question is how do I reply to that e-mail. I don't feel the same Dear... would be applicable as she ended her e-mail with only her name. I also wonder if a simple "Hi" and then the body of the e-mail following would be too casual. I don't want to sound formal, but I don't want to sound like the teenager I am either.

Hi, A lady that I do not know has e-mailed me regarding a mix-up with our post.
She addressed me as Dear...
and then went on...
There's nothing wrong with addressing her in the same way that she addressed you.
That's the most common approach.
