Replenish

"We went to my uncle's vineyard to replenish our wine supplies." (We ran out of wine and our uncle has the best so we went to him.)

Is 'replenish' too formal or can I go for it in this situation?

Top answer

"replenish" is OK. It is a moderately high-register word, but not super-formal, and it can be used in everyday language too.
