Rephrasing a how..to question

How was your visit to your grandparents?

How was your visit to your grandparent's house?

Th grandparents live in another city/province. Are both sentences acceptable? Or not? Or shoud the questions be rephrased?

Top answer

Both are OK. I would use the one without house because probably it was the granparents being visited and the house is incidental. Also, it should be grandparents' because it is plural.
