Rephrase or correction

Hello dear helpers and friends,
Since English is not my native language. I am stuck in phrasing a sentence in which you could help me.
I want to ask somebody whom I haven't met since long and have been thinking about her and her well-being.

Q: I have been thinking about how have you been?
PS: The context is about thinking about someone and asking about the well-being at the same time.

Sorry for the long question. Rephrasing in the context can help. Thanks in advance good fellows.
