rephrase

Hello,

Example. a fact that is little known = a little-know fact

I have to change the following phrase as per the example given.

1. a decision that was taken at the last minute = (a last-minute decision ? )

2. a letter that is written badly = (a badly written letter or a badly-written letter.) Is hyphen required?

3. training that is given on the job = (on-the-job training)

I have written my answeers in the braces. please check and correct with some comment.

They're fine. The hyphen isn't really required in 1 and 2, but I would suggest on-the-job is the better form for number 3. I'm assuming "little-know fact" was just a typo (should be know n )

I would advocate for the hyphen in #1.

Most style guides will tell you to NOT use the hyphen with adverbs that end in -ly. So no hyphen in #2.
