Even while (I was) walking towards my house, I was preoccupied with office-related matters.
Can we just write 'Even while walking' instead of 'even while I was walking', can we avoid 'I was' because it is being written in the second half of the sentence anyway?

when, after, before, while, since, until, if, unless, and although.
