Repeating a prep?

XYZ is contained in layer ABC in the air.

Is repeating "in" like this okay? I suppose I need a verb after ABC, though. Do you have any solution?

Top answer

The given sentence is acceptable, but putting "In the air" at the beginning of the sentence would be better.

Is that "of" to avoid repeating "in"? Or is "layer of the atmosphere" a natural way?
