repeatedly request

Please help me correct the following paragraph. Thanks!

I have enjoyed piano music since I was a little girl. I desired to learn to play the piano when I was four or five years old. But my mom didn't agree to let me learn it because she thought that I was too little then. So, whenever I asked her for the piano lesson, she always said, "Let's talk about that next time." After I repeatedly requested to attend piano lessons, she finally allowed me to go to the piano lessons.

"Should" isn't the question. "Might" - to improve the flow - is more appropriate.
