Repeat it again?

Hi. Should I repeat the word "sometimes" here? Or is there a better way to say the samething?

He sometimes feels bored and sometimes sad.

I think I'd put 'sometimes' at the beginning of each clause.

Sometimes he feels bored, and sometimes (he feels) sad.
