render it necessary that .....

Hi,

Is the construction "sth renders it necessary that...." always followed by "should + verb"?

E.g. The movements of the enemy below render it necessary that I should send a force in that direction to observe and check them.

In the case of past tense, would it be:

"The movements of the enemy rendered it necessary that I should have to send a force in that direction to observe and check them." ?

Would this be okay:

"The movements of the enemy rendered it necessary that I sent a force in that direction to observe and check them." ?

"The movements of the enemy rendered it necessary that I should have to send a force in that direction to observe and check them."

"The movements of the enemy rendered it necessary that I send (not sent) a force in that direction to observ
