Remove vs cut off

Hi

Would you say that both of these are equally natural?

  1. Will you please cut off the bread crumbs for me?
  2. Will you please remove the bread crumbs for me?

Best,

Tom

Bread crumbs are already loose. It does not seem possible to "cut them off". "remove the bread crumbs" is possible, if, for example, the crumbs are lodged in an appliance, or something like that, or perhaps as part of a recipe.

  • I don't suppose you mean crusts, do you?
