Please find attached detail Budget Estimate as requested After the wall separating the two rooms being taken out, there will be uneven flooring revealed, since one of the room has carpeting and the other oak strip flooring / floor. Our solution to it would be to raise the portion of the lower level of the floor with slates of plywood and oak tiling on top to match streaks of the existing floor. Please understand we’re running on a tight budget, we couldn’t possibly give the floor a total face-life, so something has to give - chances are we will be seeing slanted flooring at a few degrees off water level.Please advise on how you'd want the floor to be treated.Thank you for your helpTN

A molding is a quarter-round long strip of wood that is placed on the floor next to the wall to hide the seam. I don't think you have used "remolding" correctly. I assume you meant "remodeling"

2. Would you say the wall "being taken down"?

3. After the wall seperating the two rooms has been taken out, it will reveal an even floor.

5. When do you use "oak floors" ? Does it mean "the floor is put down with oak tiles'?

6. Why "chances are we will be left with slightly uneven flooring" and not "....uneven floor" you just suggested?

7. Is "slanted uneven floor" not idiomatic?

8. If I have to mention "a few degree off the water level" in this email, would it be grammatically correct? or it's simply not idiomatic?

OK. Also "an interior wall is being removed"

3. After the wall seperating the two rooms has been taken out, it will reveal uneven floor.

4. After the wall separating the two rooms has been taken out, there will be an uneven floors. There will be one floor, since there is one room. This floor is uneven.

5. When do you use "oak floors" ? Does it mean "the floor is put down with oak tiles'? No, the floor is the entire foundation of the room. Wood floors can be made of natural wood or engineered wood in planks or strips. Also parquet wood flooring can be used. Parquet comes in small decorative squares. Oak iand pine are common types of wood for floors. They can be stained different shades or colors. Vinyl flooring can be made to look like wood. It is cheaper.

6. Why "chances are we will be left with slightly uneven flooring" and not "....uneven floor" you just suggested?

7. Is "slanted uneven floor" not idiomatic? An uneven floor is a floor with a ridges or humps where 2 floors at different levels meet. A slanted floor is one that is not horizontal, but slightly angled up or down, so that water will run off in a preferred direction. Garage floors are usually slightly angled. Interior floors should not be angled.

8. If I have to mention "a few degree off the water level" in this email, would it be grammatically correct? or it's simply not idiomatic? It is not idiomatic. "slightly slanted" or "off-horizontal" are adjectives. See 7
