Remember (possible synonyms)

Hi teachers,
Would 'retain in memory' be an appropriate synonym for 'remember' in the following sentence?
Peter, don't forget about that Golf, and remember that you have taken care of the car personally.

Would 'recuperate the memory' be an appropriate synonym for 'remember' in the following sentence?
A: This was your car, wasn't it?
B: What are you saying? My car?
A: Peter! Remember, it was your car, wasn't it?
B: Yes! Yes it was.

Peter, don't forget about that Golf, and remember that you have taken care of the car personally. We would say 'keep in mind', not 'retain in memory'. The idea is the same, however.

We would say 'keep in mind', not 'retain in memory'. The idea is the same, however.
