Remaining time

Remaining time until the timer expires
Remaining time for the timer expiration
Remaining time until the timer expiration

Are those noun phrases correct?
Thanks.

The first one is correct. The others are incorrect. If you wanted to use expiration, you'd say: Remaining time until the expiration of the timer but most English speakers probably would go with the shorter version that uses expires.

Thank you, Mystand.

I used the word expiration as an example; could you tell me whether the preposition 'for' is correct as in 'Remaining time for the EVENT'?
Thanks.
