Relocation

Hi everybody,
I have a question about the word relocation. I've heard this word before in context with company, office but never in relation to house or home. Does it sound awkward to say "I had to relocate my home/house (because of whatever reason)"?

sub-question: is this correct? "We had to relocate our office because of the electricity problems"
thank you,
Rick

People who move from one house to another are, in fact, relocating. Even a house can be relocated - that is, picked up and moved to a new place.
